This September we will become a home educating family. Very casually at least. I’ll begin doing a little more formal and planned schooling for John than I’ve been doing. In January, I’d started doing some more formal stuff, but John just wasn’t ready. He turns 3 in August so ’tis time.
In doing my planning I’ve come up with a list of books that I want to have readily available for his viewing for the year. It is a list of books that he can “read” anytime. We’ve used a large basket for his board books in the living room since he was born, but I think we need to switch to a small bookcase he can easily access. Right now he’s got a huge bookcase in his bedroom with all “his” books. I’m envisioning a set of books he can easily access and enjoy in the living room and use for schooling.
